I never had to purchase an actual photo cartridge with any other printer before, but I guess it's another expense in order to have good quality. Printer didn't even come with any kind of manual.

So disgusted wtih this. I previously had an inexpensive lexmark that worked miracles, so I know it is possible to get good quality without having to sacrifice a huge expense, but don't get this if you plan on using it for photos. If you do, get the photo cartridge and download picasa photo software--it's free and 10X better!
